when we’re mindful, we are much more aware. which means that we receive more information and can learn to hold our reactions. this not only makes us more skillful interpersonally, but also allows us to gain insight into our own doing and being. all the work which we can do in terms of self-development, is based on mindfulness. the sections following therefore, are seen as part of our mindfulness practice. or the different places we bring mindfulness to.
listening & speaking
communication is our most powerful tool, in terms of creating our reality, and the reality for those around us. yet, few of us ever think about the way we communicate, what it means to different personalities, and the impact which we may have, unintentionally. learning to listen and speak, carefully, is the basis of all relationship.
personality
what we don’t know about ourselves, can hurt us, as well as others. there is no way i can learn how to mature, without understanding my own personality, as well as those around me. the Enneagram provides us with all the knowledge we need in terms of personality, as well as clear guidelines in terms of self-development and maturing.
trauma
we live in a time where we are becoming aware not only of the personal trauma of so many in the world, but also the collective trauma from our human history. trauma affects every aspect of our life, including our reasoning and feelings. here we pay attention to the effects of trauma, and the ways which we can develop to heal. when we can access our stillness, or being, trauma can be healed.
maturing
in our world, mature leaders and adults are rare. we are only beginning to understand the processes underlying maturity, and the ways in which we may work with ourselves to mature. in these programs we will talk about maturing in the Enneagram, as much as maturing from a leadership perspective.
emotional intelligence
in our modern world and society, emotional intelligence has become a vital ingredient in terms of what we need to improve our relationships individually, our working environment, as much as in our governance. here we investigate the four aspects of EQ and how to develop each.
