practicing meditation
when we approach our life with meditative awareness, we feel fully alive and seated in our being. in this section we begin with looking into the reasons why meditation is important, and how it is practiced. then we deepen our understanding of cultivating attention, stillness, and insight. the meditative state becomes accessible not only when we formally practice but everywhere in our life.
presence
although the body can be factually present, our state of consciousness can vary from non-presence, through presence and into pure presence. here we discuss what this really means, before looking more deeply into qualities of being present. we also focus on four natural states of awareness, embodying through non-violent communication and self-compassion.
beyond personality
in beyond personality, we peek into the transcendent states of consciousness. the Enneagram that we are familiar with, here called the Enneagram of Character Fixation, is only part of the Enneagram system. beyond personality we find the Holy Ideas. in this section we recap the Enneagram of Character Fixation and then deepen our understanding and experience in the Holy Ideas.
trauma
under mindfulness we discussed the broad outline of trauma therapy and in this section we focus more deeply on the psychological aspects of trauma. we begin with understanding trauma and its treatment and then look more deeply into Schema Therapy and its schemas.
Integral theory
this section is totally dedicated to the work of Ken Wilber's work. we begin by understanding Integral theory and then look more deeply into some of the applications of this theory: Integral psychology, Integral mindfulness, and Integral spirituality.
working with thought
in working with thought, we first look into the healthy thought processes of reflection and contemplation. then we turn to what we can learn from Buddhism. first by focusing on the three marks of existence and their concurrent death practices, and then the Buddhist practice of lojong, or mind training.
working with emotion
in the mindfulness section we looked into understanding and managing emotion from a Western psychological lens, in the form of emotional intelligence. but how does Buddhism see emotion, and what can we learn from their understanding and practice? in this section we will focus on befriending emotion, understanding it, and gradually choosing to respond rather than react. in our next program we will look at the transmutation of emotion.
meditation practices
this section provides access to all the practices and summaries presented in the different programs in the category of meditation. we trust that it makes it easier to find and to make part of your life.
